Better late than never I guess?
Hello friends and fellow skoolie converters! This is Mitzi here and I've realized that with all the crazy work that we've put in, we haven't made a single blog post! I guess there's no place like the present and putting it off any longer isn't helping! I'm not going to attempt to recap everything we've done in one shot, but I'll plan to make individual posts with the galleries that go with each, including the steps we took, the issues we found, the things that worked well, and the things that we probably wouldn't have done again.
We've come a long way since we've picked up the bus last summer, but not nearly the progress we were expecting. Between the cold winter, the wetter spring and the fun in looking for a spot to keep her, we haven't done as much work as we wanted.
The HOA had a fit about a big yellow school bus on the top of the mountain, and we had to find alternative storage that will also allow us to work onsite. I scoured the Craigslist posts advertising RV storage, found one about 20 minutes away, checked the satellite map and found that they had buses onsite. Dave gave them a call and we set up a rental deal. We found the site, but it presented us with new issues: power and water. Dave picked up a generator for the power, but the water is proving to be a little more problematic.. but we'll figure it out.
In the meantime, we're having a blast and I can't wait to post more of our experience! Thanks for joining us on our journey!
